Every year our social club enters into battle against Komatsu’s social club at the Allora Sports Club. However, a fun-filled day of golf, barefoot bowls, touch rugby and trivia has a more serious underlying motive. All proceeds raised on the day go to a worthy cause.
Two years ago, money was raised for Breast Cancer Research, and last year, the proceeds went to the Men’s Shed here in Toowoomba. This year, the event raised $1,700 for Prostate Cancer Research.
The competition has been running for six years and doesn’t look like ending any time soon. The organisers have already decided that LIVIN.org will be the recipients of next year’s proceeds.

Fashion on the field ranged from our team in their smart, black t-shirts to full pirate costumes. The fierce but friendly competition was great family fun. Everyone were winners, but if we want to get down to details, our team won the trivia event, and Komatsu won the best dressed competition.
This is a public event, so if any of you wish to get a team together for next year, we will meet you on the field!
