Joe Wagner Group were engaged by VEC Civil to provide plant, labour and supervision for numerous QR timber bridge replacements. We demolished the old bridges and replaced them with precast concrete structures.

- Installation of pipes and culverts
- 1.2km of road construction
- Concreting
- Backfilling
As this project included road construction and installation of pipes and culverts, it demonstrates our multi-faceted capacities in demolition, drainage, rail and roadworks.
These works were generally conducted in a shutdown environment (typically 72 hours) so they required detailed planning, significant resourcing and HSEQ management.
Due to the size of the project, we hired local labourers and subcontractors to supplement our work crews. We had very good relationships with subcontractors and VEC Civil supervisors, and successfully completed the project with not LTIs.
