Joe Wagner Group was engaged to build concrete kerbing and a batter drain at the entrance of the Wetalla Water Reclamation Facility.
Works included:
- Removal of existing kerbing
- Construction of a batter chute (30m long, 5m wide)
- Construction of kerbing on either side of the road leading up to the facility (50m on each side)
This project was particularly challenging because the slope the batter drain was on had a 70% gradient, and the drain had to snake around, and flow into gabion baskets. High pressure water mains directly below the kerb-removal area also meant that particular care was required when digging up the old kerbing. Traffic management and tight scheduling was necessary to accommodate the trucks entering the working plant.
The job ran like clockwork with no LTIs. Our client was very happy with the speed and quality of our work.
